The Co-organizing Committees (Montpellier and Toulouse) cordially invite you to join us for the
10th EUROPEAN SILICON DAYS
to be held from 10 to 12 July 2023
in Montpellier (France)
Since the inaugural conference in Munich, the EUROPEAN SILICON DAYS has grown to become an unrivaled presentation and discussion platform addressing all aspects of silicon chemistry.
It will bring together outstanding scientists and researchers from academia and industry, young academics, students and industrialists from Europe and throughout the world.
Topics will range from fundamental questions to applications and from molecules to materials, thus mirroring the importance of silicon materials and technologies in everyday life
The conference will take place on the University campus in the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier located in the north of Montpellier.
Topics
1 - Silicon molecular chemistry : new compounds, highly reactive species, new bonding systems, reactivity and low coordinate silicon species
2 – New synthetic methodologies using silicon-based synthetic tools
3 – Materials – Design and applications
a) Silicone-based materials
b) Silica-based materials and precursors: silsesquioxanes (cage-like, POSS, etc…), hybrids,…
c) Polysilanes, polycarbosilanes, silicon carbide and ceramics
4 – Organometallics
5 – New industrial trends and aspects of silicon-derived materials
a) Circular economy
b) Environmental aspects
c) New industrial applications: catalysis, energy storage, optical devices and sensing, biomedical, etc…
